DIY Garter

You will need:
- tulle (2yds)
- 3/8in elastic
- lace
- brooch
- stick-on crystals

(Not pictured) Measure around your leg where you want the garter to go, and cut elastic to the measured length. Mine measured 20in around, so if yours is much bigger, get more than 2yds of tulle, because I almost didn't have enough.

Cut four 3.5x72in. pieces of tulle, stack them, and use a pin to mark the center:

At the mid marker, begin folding the tulle towards the center, pinning each fold:

Here's the completed first side (it measured 9in.):

Start on the other side, folding towards the center. The arrows mark the direction the folds are going:

After you've finished all the folds, on the back side, pin the elastic in the center and sew it onto the tulle with the smallest zig-zag stitch:

You can now remove all pins. Pin and sew the lace to the front side, covering the elastic that shows through:

Hand stitch the brooch or brooches to the center of the garter:

Trim the edges to your desired length:

Pin the right edges together and sew:

Done!

DIY Ring-bearer's Book

You will need:
- book
- knife
(optional)
- stiff bristled brush
- baking soda
- small paintbrush
- paint color of choice

(Optional) To take the lettering off your book, sprinkle baking soda over the letters, wet your stiff bristled brush, and scrub until the letters come off:

All clean!

Trace the shape you want to cut onto the first page of the book and begin cutting:

(Optional) After you've cut the inside, carefully paint whatever you want onto the cover of the book (I accidentally put my name first, oops!):

All done!
